David has been in education for 9 years. He is currently an Elementary Advanced Academic Specialist for Ector County ISD in Odessa, Texas. He has taught grades 2nd -5th from self-contained to departmentalized in Reading and Science. He has served his district and schools as a Technology Ambassador. He has earned a National Certification as a STEM Educator, and is currently working on his National Board for Professional Teaching Standards in Exceptional Needs (Gifted). His passion is his students and finding exciting ways for them to demonstrate their learning. In his role as a GT Specialist he loves sharing his knowledge of gifted education with teachers across the district and how to better serve their students.
