Every student should have access to talent development opportunities in and out of school. However, access to such opportunities and to gifted education services is often limited. This session introduces an equity-focused approach to talent development, created to expand access to advanced curriculum and social and emotional learning opportunities for high potential students from underserved populations. Specific examples of strategies that can be used to identify high potential students and support their affective and academic development and will be presented.
