Scholars studying gifted and talented programming have identified the lack of representation within the ranks of underrepresented populations. However, communication geared towards these communities has proven to be a gatekeeper. The presenter aims to challenge the communication barriers that hinder inclusiveness and identify ways to bridge schools and communities.
