Blake just stepped out of the classroom at the end of the '20-'21 school year after 26 years. He started his career on the southside of Houston in HISD, then moved to Aldine ISD, and finally Cy-Fair ISD. After moving to North Texas in 2000, he spent one year in Carrollton-Farmers Branch ISD before moving to Lewisville ISD; he spent 23 years in middle school working with 6th-8th graders, many of those with GT students. The last three years were spent in HS teaching AP Lang & Comp and English III. He and his wife have two adult children, and enjoy swimming & long distance cycling.
