Courtney Baroody
Dallas ISD
Coordinator, Advanced Academic Services
Courtney is a strong advocate for ensuring all students are provided an equal opportunity to an enriching education. Courtney has proudly served as an educator for 11 years. She earned a B.S. in Middle Grades Education with concentrations in Mathematics and Social Studies from Georgia Southern University. Before relocating from Atlanta to Dallas in April of 2018, Courtney served as a Math and Social Studies teacher for grades seven and eight, gifted specialist for first-fifth grades, gifted and talented coordinator, and 504 coordinator -- among other roles.
While teaching, she planned on and participated in various curriculum design teams catered to improve instruction district-wide. This love of curriculum led her to pursue a Master of Education in Curriculum and Instruction (K-12) with an endorsement in Gifted and Talented Education, and Educational Specialist in Curriculum and Instruction (K-12) with an endorsement in Reading both from Augusta University.
