Katie D. Lewis, Ed.D., is an associate professor of education at York College of Pennsylvania, USA. She teaches undergraduate education courses and is the program director for Secondary Education, Post-Baccalaureate and Transfer students. Dr. Lewis has 5 years of experience teaching in public schools where she served as grade chair, lead science teacher, gifted cluster teacher and mentor to student teachers. She actively serves on leadership committees for the National Association for Gifted Children, CEC-TAG and Texas Association for Gifted and Talented. Her main areas of research interest include underrepresentation of gifted Hispanic students and teacher preparation.
