Melanie S. Meyer is a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at Johns Hopkins University. She holds a Ph.D. in Educational Psychology with a concentration in Gifted and Talented Education from the University of North Texas. She has been a classroom teacher in Texas for over 20 years, with experience in analytical reading and writing development in gifted and advanced academics settings. Her research focuses on identity development, school-based talent development, the postsecondary choices (e.g., college, career, military service) of talented students, education policy, and highly mobile (e.g., military-connected) students.
