Priti Avantsa is a Licensed Social Worker with over 20 years of experience in school social work.  She started her career as a Community Youth Service Specialist with Harris County. She continued her work with students in Spring ISD, Spring Branch ISD, and Fort Bend ISD where she has been for 17 years and is currently the Coordinator of Mental Health and Social Work Services. She oversees a team of 16 Social Workers, 6 Licensed Profession Counselors and Community Mental Health partners who provide mental health services to students in the district. She spearheaded the development and roll out of the mental health program in FBISD in 2019.

Priti has been a presenter at the Texas School Workers Conference and Parent Involvement Conference on many occasion discussing programs that were parent-focused on Title I campuses.

Priti has been married to Srini for 32 years and is the proud parent of a 27-year-old son and 24-year-old daughter who are now independent young adults. She is enjoying empty nesting with her husband and two dogs and loves to do exactly what she wants!
